Seco has recently re-designed its customer magazine, Edge, and the hard work has paid off. The magazine has been recognised as the best customer magazine in Sweden, ahead of hundreds of nominations.
Over 45,000 copies of Edge are printed twice a year, and the magazine is translated into 25 languages. Product managers, experts, Seco employees and customers offer their expertise and knowledge to create interesting case stories, give product information and offer advice, while the best graphic designers, journalists and creative team members wrap it all up with fantastic photography and an edgy style.
Seco’s Jennifer Hilliard, Editor of the magazine, says, ‘I couldn’t be more proud – I have worked closely with Appelberg Publishing to create three fantastic issues so far, and they deserve this recognition for all their hard work.’
The design prize jury explains why Edge won ‘Best Customer Magazine’:
Discussing industrial production and processes is something that can be done in many different ways. Traditionally, the presentation of this content is complicated and inaccessible to the average person. In this case, however, the graphic design is just as thought-out and effective as the tools being written about. The left and right side of the brain work together in perfect harmony!
